You have two options when you are all set to start your food blog...

The steps in starting your own food blog:

1) Buy a your domain
What do you want your domain name to be?
You can brainstorm as many different ideas as possible. You can come up with series of statement or by listing words that describe your cooking style, lifestyle, background, etc. You will definitely find the perfect name. You should go for Domain names that are short, memorable, easy to spell and typically end in .com (yourname.com). Cost: free with Bluehost when you buy a hosting plan or you can pay around $14 per year elsewhere.

2) Find a reliable web host.
Your host determines your success... There are tons of webhosts out there but always go for the best...  If you don't have the money at hand for a web host, then settle with blogger;  A paid option is Bluehost... You can try them by clicking on the link. A web host stores your website and makes it accessible to the world wide web. In other words, your website “lives” on your web host’s servers. The cost differs from hosts to hosts.

3) Install WordPress.
WordPress is top-of-the-line, industry standard blogging software. Cost: free! I have written a detailed tutorial on how to install wordpress HERE.

4) Install a WordPress theme and plugins.
Your WordPress theme will determine the look, feel and functionality of your website. Cost: free to some bucks. You can read about choosing the right Design for your blog.
Install WordPress plugins which extend the functionality of WordPress in certain areas. For example, one of my recommended WordPress plugins helps prevent spam comments. Most plugins are free!
